Check out some of Kristen’s projects and research on the American Civil War.

Kristen’s research focus is on Civil War medicine and the war in Missouri. In terms of medicine, which is the focus of her current project, Bullets & Bandages, she examines the experiences of soldiers and surgeons during the United States’ bloodiest conflict. Currently, she is working on her first book, which will be announced closer to its release. Kristen has written several articles for The Gettysburg Compiler and Emerging Civil War online journals. She continues to write on these two primary subjects, which will be updated here on this website.
